Property Checks
A service that the Avon Police Department provides to the community is property checks. If you, an Avon resident, are going away and your house will be vacant for an extended amount of time, you can notify the Avon Police Department to be placed on a property checklist. As it is impossible for Patrol Officers to check each house on the list everyday, the Patrol Division does its best to check each property as time permits.
If your alarm goes off while your house is on our property checklist, it is helpful to our Patrol Officers to have this information while responding. The below information should be filled out and brought in to the Avon Police Department and can be left with the dispatcher.

The Avon Police please ask that when you return home, that you contact the Dispatcher at 860-677-9746 to make sure that your residence be removed from the property checklist.
