Emergency Management
The Town Manager serves as director of Emergency Management Services, working in tandem with the Avon Police Department and Avon Fire Department. Emergency Management incorporates a comprehensive, integrated program of mitigation, preparedness response and recovery for emergencies/disasters of any kind.

In the event of an emergency, residents should call 911. Information concerning natural or man-made disasters is anounced over local radio station WTIC AM 1080.
